Carmen Guerrero Design Studio
Kern Residence
A renovation of an existing 2,723 square feet residence that focuses on providing the teenage children’s private areas with more usable spaces, storage and private bathrooms. A new walk-in closet is designed for the girls’ room along with a bathroom. To allow more natural light into the girls’ bedroom two new windows are added facing the backyard. The existing corridor in the private quarters of the house is altered to provide the boy’s room with its own bathroom. The kitchen is completely renovated as well as the family room where new windows and doors open up to an existing side terrace.
